I guest blogged on babyphotographers.com this week. With articles and a directory of pre-screened photographers, it’s a great resource site for those interested in hiring a baby photographer. They liked an article I had written about digital files. For my guest-blogging gig, I condensed that article and wrote it with the consumer’s best interests in mind. Check it out and find out why looking for a photographer who gives you the files, for free or cheap, isn’t usually the best way to choose the person who’s going to capture special memories of your baby’s first days (or any other special childhood and family memories.)

Sorry I’ve been neglecting to make posts. I have lots of work to share, but no time right now to size images for my blog, and load them up. Fall sessions sold out long ago as I suspected they would, and I actually overbooked a little because I had a hard time telling people it was too late. By the middle of November, I’ll be caught up more and can do a day of Christmas Card Minisessions – for those who waited until Fall to even start thinking about their cards…LOL! Check back often – the day will sell out fast once I post about it!

**Please note: if you’re looking for a maternity or newborn session, and don’t need finished portraits delivered before Christmas, please go ahead and contact me. I have a couple spots that opened up in December, and I’m booking Jan/Feb 2010 as well.

I haven’t been keeping up on my blog the way I want to. I’ve been devoting all my time to working on orders and photographing lots of new babies! I do have some catching up still, and I’ll share more when I get a chance to breathe, but here are just a couple from an orchard/farm session on one of our many gorgeous days this summer.

It’s that time of year again! Family portrait sessions in September and October are always popular – and surprisingly, this year is proving to be no exception. Dates for sessions are going faster than anticipated, so fair warning… they could be booked up by the end of this month. The last day I can shoot a session for pre-Christmas delivery is October 31st.
