Oh my! That was delicious! I had a little sweet tooth yesterday on my way home, and so I stopped at Kaldi’s and had one of their “Chewy Caramal Bars” …after a heart-healthy lunch of course…LOL! I couldn’t eat it all, so I brought it home. It was sheer delight this morning when I went into the kitchen and remembered that I had this delectable treat waiting for me! And today it was even better for some reason. They’re like a gourmet version of a gooey butter cake, with carmelized edges. You might think pairing it with their Highlander Grogg coffee, with the scent of maple syrup, would be overkill, but it was wonderful. I really need to post a photo of one of these, but it’s gone for now. Next time. Anyway, go get one! Kaldi’s Coffeehouse

Why ‘Organic’ Imagery?
Because I'm a lover of midtones and I mostly leave them alone rather than lightening them into oblivion. Because I use natural light for most of my work. Because I love incorporating organic elements into my photography, such as textures I find along the way, or beeswax. Because my roots are in film and darkroom work, and prints with velvety tonal ranges...and I carry this over to my digital imagery. But mostly because I capture real moments and real emotions. All of it combines to give my imagery what someone recently described as a "very organic feel." Not common in this digital world, but my clients prefer the uncommon, thankfully. :)
What I do
I'm a custom, on-location, natural light photographer. I travel to my clients, whether they're in the St. Louis area, or across the country, to capture their pregnancies, babies, children, families, or events, in an artistic and meaningful way.
This is the only way we can stop time and look back years from now and remember the sound of her laughter, the peach fuzz he had as a newborn, or the bonding you did with your babies before they were even born.
I also do commercial photography, fine art photography, and mixed-media art.
